We stayed in this house two years ago and loved it but it has taken a beating in the last two years. The place seemed dirty and needs several maintenance items taken care of. Dryer does not vent, need painting, internet does does work, showe door seal in downstairs bathroom coming off, weird room assignment....why have bunk bed in room with large bathroom and queen bed in room with smallest bathroom l, trundle bed downstairs is a waste, should have at least a full size bed in that room.

When guests call to alert us to a problem we promptly dispatch the appropriate department to correct maintenance or housekeeping issues. We love this rental. Everything about the house is comfortable and well-appointed. Having a golf cart in Sandestin makes it all that much more enjoyable. If I had one recommendation, I’d recommend an investment in the golf cart as it’s missing a side railing and barely holds a charge. Again, love the house, it was super comfortable and we’ll be back.

This house was awesome!! We had 7 in our party and it was perfect! The decor is gorgeous!! We loved the gourmet kitchen and large dining room table. It was nice having private bathrooms for each of the bedrooms. The location is perfect and we took the golf cart to the beach, Baytowne Wharf, grocery store and restaurants nearby. We hardly used our car. We definitely will be renting this house again!!

Overall good, but the grill does need to be upgraded.<br/>Good upscale unit, so the grill needs to match that.<br/>Also on the website you say to use a *then code* but in actuality it is a Check- then code - Check<br/>You need to change that in your app.

This was our second stay in this unit and it did not disappoint. We had a good time and the accommodations were good. I would like to suggest you consider replacing the sofa in the living room as the down feathers frequently escape the covering and make it a bit messy. Also, please provide some cleaning utensils for the grill. Looking forward to staying again next year.

1873 Villa Lago is a beautiful home in a great location which easily accomodates 7 people( their 9 person estimate is a stretch!). The home is beautifully decorated and Platinum Destinations was very responsive to golf cart and HBAC issues (the original golf cart needing a complete rehab.). Again, PD responded to our complaint by replacing the golf cart in disrepair with a nicer faster version. The only other complaint was better pillows, more blankets, and a better stocked kitchen (I.e. utensils, bakeware) were needed. Judging by my complaints one would think we were unhappy with this property. Not the case!! It was beautiful and quite spacious but the fore mentioned items need to be addressed.

We will be replacing pillows and blankets in the off season. We will also restock the kitchen with any necessary items. By the end of the summer many of these types of amenities have be worn out . The weather was less than desirable (it rained the first 3 days of our stay). Luckily we had a beautiful condo retreat to keep us shielded while we waited for better weather. The golf cart was crucial! Loved being able to just hop in a ride down the the Baytowne wharf area to hang out-- it is an awesome scene and is really everything you need all in one spot. We brought our boat with us, which was a little bit of an inconvenience because we couldn't store it at the condo-- there is no boat parking there and no launch. The nearest public launch is about a 15min drive if you're lucky-- the traffic is unreal around that resort due to a major highway renovation. The condo was as clean as one could expect-- my only gripe is the pillows on the cough emitted a ridiculous amount of feathers and the headboard in the master was extremely dusty. All in all I LOVED the condo and the service and would recommend this in a heartbeat and would definitely go back again! Our neighbors even told us,"dang, so y'all were the ones that got our condo... we get that one every year and were sad we didn't get it!" The staff was professional and courteous as well. Just have to hope for better weather next time. Our age group was 4 adults ranging from 31-43 and 3 teenagers.

We are so thrilled your enjoyed your accommodations. This truly is an outstanding villa. The owners went all out with this one. The golf cart is a must as well. It certainly helps in getting around the resort either going to the Village at Baytowne Wharf or the beach. Traffic has been crazy and I really do not understand why the decided to do this during our peak season. I will check the pillow with the feathers. You should not have seen any so I feel there must be a hole of some sort. I will also discuss with housekeeping about the head board. Please note that anytime you have a housekeeping issues or maintenance issue to please give us a call. We have a full staff that is only a block away that can assist with these issues. We hope to see you again soon. Remember, all returning guest get a 5% repeat guest discount. Also, make sure to book directly with Platinum Vacations of Destin to avoid additional service fees. we enjoyed our stay we had minimal problems and when we did platinum was quick to respond. The garage not being available was a large factor in our not renewing our time. It had nothing to do with Platinum Services.

The unit was just as described and reviewed, perfect. It was very clean and well appointed with dishes, quality linens, gas grill and golf cart. There was an issue with the upstairs A/C upon our arrival but one call to Plat Svcs and it was fixed right away. We've stayed at another unit in Villa Lago the previous 5 summers and those owners have not maintained their home. I'm hoping 1873 does because we will continue to return to San Destin every summer and this will be my first choice.

Ceiling fans in 2 rooms did not work. Had to buy batteries for tv remote. Had to fill gas tank for grill. Saw roaches. Front door is dirty and unwelcoming. Found hair in shower upon arrival. Stairs were not clean. BEAUTIFUL HOME in great location (We stay in Sandestin every 4th of July) but not managed or cleaned properly. Dirty Rugs laying in back by grill and a piece of a grill on ground. Couldn't get in Condo with code given. Had to call and get new one. This home is so beautiful but we will not rent from this mangement company again. Not taking good care of such a beautiful home. I wouldn't want them to take care of my home.

The only time we had heard from you was in regards to the door code. Please understand that sometimes things happen and we try to accommodate as quickly as possible. I was able to get you inside the unit fairly quickly with a new code and you were understanding about that at the time so I did not think there was an issue. Regarding the grill, Platinum Services is not in charge of any grills at the units. It is the owner's choice to provide a grill or not at their homes and not up to us to maintain them. The ceiling fans were something not reported to us, but understand that we will make sure this is addressed. All our units are also sprayed regularly for insects. However, it's not reasonable to think that every single bug will be kept out of units. Especially if it's been raining, which during this time, it certainly was. We try to do our best to make sure our guests are creating great memories with us so I apologize that your experience was less than ideal. We try to take care of any issues that may arise as soon as possible but if something occurs during a guests stay, that is out of our control and we're not made aware of it, we cannot work to resolve the issue.

Mostly good. Kids and grandkids had lots of fun. I had called prior to checking in and requested a 2 hr delay on ck out. They said yes for $ 50 charge. Then during the trip someone called to discuss ck out. They said nothing was in our computer record. Then on last day maid service showed up early to clean.

This home was perfect for our family. It was very clean and updated. The furnishings were all wonderful. All of the beds were very comfortable. Backing up to the golf course allowed for our granddaughter to room to play in the evening.

This was our first time to stay at this wonderful property and I'm hoping we can return to the same place again next year. The pictures and description do not do justice for this home. It is meticulously maintained and came stocked with all the necessities and then some. The golf cart was an added bonus. The battery was not charging properly upon our arrival. The staff was VERY responsive and attentive to our issue and quickly delivered a new charger. The patio was perfect for morning coffee and grilling in the evening. Great location....close to Baytowne Wharf, pool, beach and restaurants. Villa Lago was perfect for our family!

When making our reservations I specifically stated that I didn't want to rent this home if the golf cart was not working and was assured that it was. We arrived to find no golf cart. Apparently the owner had taken it to have seats recovered. Platinum sent a loaner the next morning and 30 min later the unit golf cart was delivered. They were very apologetic and gave us a 10% discount for the inconvenience . The rest of the vacation was wonderful - The home was beautiful and we LOVE Sandestin!

This was the best vacation my family has ever had! 1873 Villa Lago was a beautiful and comfortable home, right on the golf course, with the most delightful porch that allowed for relaxing morning and evening. This was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. It was very clean and platinum services was great to answer any questions or concerns. It was a relaxing & stress free stay. We enjoyed the beautifully decor and lots of space for all 5 of us. We loved being so close to Baytown especially the playground for my son. Perfect accommodations for a family vacation! The large, beautifully decorated house was lovely and conveniently located on the Sandestin property for our group of 6 adults. We've vacationed at Sandestin since the early 1990's and the Villa Lago house ranks at the top. Highly recommend!
