We had a wonderful time staying at Pilot House 308 during the ECBC Tournament! We have been coming every year for several years for this weekend and have stayed all over the resort and Baytowne. This cozy unit just became our favorite by far. You simply cannot beat the location and the amount of space you actually get for a one bedroom. We love that these owners opted for a second regular bed in the nook off the living room rather than a bunk bed like most other similar units, really making it more of a two bedroom. We loved being able to pop right outside and walk back and forth to the pool so easily, not to mention the quick convenience to the village below. Our only complaints are very minute and in no way diminished our trip or this review, but we would've preferred a keurig to the traditional coffee pot (I know, I know, *first world problems*). Also, I will note that the coffee table bottom was broken upon our arrival and the toilet lever jammed when you flushed it and we constantly had to go back to fix it so it wasn't continuously running and not filling the tank. Finally, we did experience a very unneccessary and ridiculously rude encounter with a man who said he was an owner in the building over a golf cart parking spot (we had parked in it when no other parking was available one evening with intentions to go back and move our car). He violently banged on our unit door but then disappeared before we could answer it. Which honestly startled/frightened us. It got even more weird when we then heard him come into the back gate from the courtyard, but when we opened the back door he was gone, but his very strong Tyler laundry detergent smell lingered behind (if you know, you know). We walked out the gate and he came up to accost us over the parking issue and the most rude, demeaning, and entitled manor. Certainly no way to treat guests to the property, especially when we responded kindly and apologetically. But otherwise, we had a wonderful trip! Thank you!

We accidentally booked the wrong dates in a different platinum rental, but their customer service was very helpful in finding us some thing else at the last minute. We ended up staying in pilot house and we are very happy that we did. Brand new construction, we could not hear any of our neighbors. The pool was great, and we loved the area. Little shops and restaurants, things to do for kids, live music and fireworks. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

As with any rental, we noticed a few maintenance issues, that if were a primary home, would be unacceptable, but as a short term vacation rental, easy to deal with. The maintenance issue I would suggest making a priority is the clothes dryer. There is definitely something broken with it’s ability to produce heat. As for the subject of cleanliness...I would say it is one of the best experiences we have had in a rental. Everything was immaculate and the welcome music and info gift set were a great touch. The no contact check-in was simple as well with the use of the app provided. We will recommend this property to our friends.

This was the perfect location for us! We loved having access to the pool area right from our patio, and the unit was so close to the stairs / elevator leading down to the parking garage. I would suggest having the cleaning service clean ALL of the pillows on the bed. You know the ones that no one really "uses," they are just for decoration? Well one of them had something on it...not sure exactly what it was, but one can only image what all it could be...The only other suggestion would be to fix the toilet handle...you have to hold it down until it completely finishes flushing. There's nothing wrong with the toilet, just gets old having to stand there and hold down the handle. Other than those two suggestions for changes, we would most definitely recommend the condo to others! And would stay it in again in a heartbeat.

We had a great time in Destin and loved the condo! Very comfortable with plenty of space for two couples. Incredible clean and well maintained. Great location right next to the pool and close to restaurants and bars at Bayside Wharf. I would have appreciated more detailed parking information and information regarding trash placement, but otherwise, the management company was easy to work with and the app worked great.

We loved our stay at Pilot House 308 and would definitely stay here again! This condo is perfect for a couple or a small family. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and there is another room with a queen sized bed. We appreciated the fact that we could walk out the back gate to the pool and that we were just steps away from the elevators and parking garage. The room came with shuttle passes to the beach and a welcome beach pail full of goodies that my son loved. We had plenty of towels and the app with all of our information for the stay was so handy! If you like being close to the village and alll of the activities, go ahead and book this property now!

And the walkout next to the pool is very convenient as well as location to the downtown wharf area. We did have a "water hammer" one night in the master that came from the adjacent 306. My husband and I stayed at this rental property over the New Years holiday. What a wonderful experience! The location was ideal and the management company from the time of rental till the end of the trip was most helpful. When trying to rent other condos from other managers I got jacked up prices, the run around, and waiting to see if others would rent for longer time frame. Platinum Services was not only helpful but accommodating from day 1. Condo was in great shape and very clean. Would definitely rent from them again and as of now am planning to return next new years! Thanks for everything!

The back patio leads right out to the pool area. GoogleTV worked worked great and allowed us to watch our own movies. Only two negatives were the Internet wouldn't work, despite restarting it, and the door & garage code randomly stopped working. Come to find out the condo association had just switched them over but Platinum didn't inform us of this until we called saying our code wasn't working. Otherwise great location- just across street from beach:)

Our recent stay at 308 Pilot House was great. The unit is beautiful and the location ideal. The only minor issues we had were that the ice maker wasn't working in the freezer and we could not get internet in the unit. But, we just bought a bag of ice for the freezer and walked across the street to the coffee shop to use the free internet when needed. Loved the convenience of the unit to the pool and restaurants. Would definitely book this unit again.

The only suggestion I would have is adding a mirror other than what's in the bathroom. It made it a little difficult getting ready with the only mirror being in the bathroom.
