We have been staying with Platinum Vacations rentals for 15 years and they have always surpassed our expectations! Beachwalk 5128 is a lovely unit well taken care of and clean with a great view of the lake! The beds are comfortable and roomy furniture. My son loves the bunk bed alcove!!! We love being next door to the pool and right by the bridge to walk over to the road that leads to the beach. The Platinum crew is always attentive and responsive to any requests and questions we have. I can’t remember how many homes we have rented thru them over the years, but there is a great reason they are our go - to rental agency in the Destin area- they are the best!! Thank you for another great stay!! See y’all in October!

experience was great! overall everything as described. location was perfect. only thing that could have been better, was that it did not seem like the floors had been cleaned at all. Sand was everywhere and this was right when we got there. we had not even been in the house yet to track anything in, so i dont think they were cleaned at all from the previous guest.

We rented this two bedroom unit located on lagoons on the Hilton side of SanDestin. The furnishings and decor were top notch. Really enjoyed the use of the two golf carts that made negotiating around the property very fun and easy. Yes - you are giving up beach views but the beach and bay are but a very short jaunt and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of our unit. It has very nice views of the lagoon and properties. I would stay here again.

We loved the unit and location, but there was a water leak that appeared and caused us to be moved to a separate unit. It was a minor problem, but ate in to our time at the beach/pool and was a headache to deal with. The property management company did a great job handling the situation. Shout out to Hans. In the new unit we had an issue with the AC on a last full day that delayed our beach experience and was another headache. Again the management company handled it well, shout out to Christopher. All in all was a good stay, but the headaches will likely incumber us from staying at this property again in the future. This was a 2nd time and would make a yearly location until this experience.

The condo was beautiful, fully stocked and was in the perfect location. We loved sitting on the back patio in the morning. The pool is super close by and the beach is a quick 3 minute golf cart ride. Our only complaint was that it wasn't very clean when we arrived and we had to wipe down all the surfaces and re-wash dishes that were left with food on them. Other than that, it was the perfect spot.

Manager's Response

Thank you so much for your feedback! We will speak with housekeeping about the issues you mentioned. They do a quick spot check of the dishes in the cabinets to prevent that, but sometimes previous guests do put back dishes that may having something stuck on it that didn't come out in the dishwasher. For the fifth year in a row, we have rented BW 5128 as snowbirds! The property is always clean and well-maintained upon arrival. The owners take pride in maintaining a lovely and comfortable unit. This stay we enjoyed a new patio set with seating for six; a newer "blue" golf cart; and a new refrigerator!!! The location within the Sandestin property and the units' proximity to the wonderful BW pool make our stay a home run. My only suggestion would be to replace/upgrade the worn bakeware with the non-stick type. We love staying in BW 5128 and calling it our home for several months. Platinum Services maintenance always gave us a heads-up call prior to accessing the unit, for example, when performing a safety check of fire alarms and extinguishers. We appreciated that courtesy.

We had a wonderful vacation! The home is updated and beautifully decorated. The location is great and is a quick golf cart ride to the beach. Our boys loved being able to walk out the back door to fish and the view was spectacular. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The property management company was wonderful and was quick to respond to any of my questions or concerns.

A couple of cons for us: the hot water heater is only a 40 gallon. With a family of 5 even taking very quick showers we took cold showers frequently. There is only 15-20 minutes of hot water available. My poor hubby who always went last didn’t get a warm shower all week. If you have a smaller family this may not be an issue for you. We did have the property management came check it and they said there was nothing wrong with it. They were prompt in coming out as soon as we called.

It does have 2 golf carts, but there are charging/battery issues with both. Despite being on the chargers all night and any time we were home they would not keep a charge. They kept enough to get us to the beach and back, but we did get stranded the first night when we rode it more than just to the beach and back a couple of times. Luckily we were at a friends and were able to use their charger so we could get back home. We did call
property management and they came out quickly to look at it. They added water to the batteries and replaced the extension cord. It didn’t solve the problem, but we chose to use the golf carts on a limited basis which worked for us.

Overall, we had a wonderful vacation. We enjoyed lots of great restaurants with Tommy Bahama being our favorite. We almost didn’t go there since it’s a chain restaurant, but I’m so glad we did. The Donut Hole has delicious donuts and there’s lots of places to shop just outside of the property. Sandestin is a beautiful beach...crystal clear water! We can’t wait to come back!

The place was clean and check in/check out was incredibly easy with the Hospitality App. The lights on one of the golf carts didn’t work and when we sent in the issue, someone was out to check it out early the next day ( we notified of the issue in the evening) and there was no disruption to our plans. Conveniently located close to the beach, Baytowne Warf and shopping - all accessible by golf cart. The place was clean and well equipped with toiletries and soft goods to get you through long enough to make a trip to the store if needed.

By far the nicest unit at sandestin we’ve stayed in. Will def try to book again. 2 golf carts was awesome, my husband could go around the property bass fishing while mom and kids used the other to hit the beach or baytowne warf. Our stay was early July and the beaches were rediculously packed unfortunately, we usually go in august. The property managers were AWESOME, I had an incident with a sick child and they were so willing to help and more concerned about my son than any mess.

Had a good stay at Sandestin resort, the property was very clean and short walk to the pool. Having the stocked lake was a bonus and we all enjoyed catching and releasing the giant Bass! Two golf carts came in handy if everyone in our party didn’t want to go to the same place. Resort is great with many amenities, having never stayed there before didn’t realize if you didn’t rent from Sandestin you don’t get a resort card to enjoy all the amenities or you have to pay more for them. Not the property or rental companies fault just something to be aware. Overall a good experience!

We have stayed at this Beachwalk condo multiple times and keep coming back. The unit is well equipped and comfortable. The furnishings are updated and there is a Webber grill on the deck. BBQ on the breezy deck is so much fun. After a day at the beach it’s also a great spot to sit and relax while looking a the beautiful lake view. The pool is a short walk over making this a very convenient location. My son and his friends loved hanging out by the pool. Two golf carts are available which is a huge perk. We love it here and will keep coming back.

This was our 4th time staying in 5128 as snowbirds. We enjoy this lovely villa and look forward to calling it home for several months. Upon arriving in January, we were pleasantly surprised by several nice upgrades. First and foremost, the installation of new custom (gray) cabinetry in the kitchen. This terrific pantry provides outstanding storage for grocery items, etc. We loved it! Also, the owners purchased a new Maytag glass top range. The addition of a new sofa and loveseat combo improved the seating configuration in the LR. The owners had several existing furniture pieces repainted in soft gray tones to modernize the look and feel in the villa. All very nice enhancements and IMO, clever!. Upstairs the owners utilized a large closet space and installed built in bunk beds. Also, very tastefully done. We always look forward to our annual stay in 5128. (I will add that upon arrival this villa was spotlessly clean.) The owners keep this property top notch.

This condo had everything! Spacious layout, plenty of comfortable seating, fully stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds. We loved the location because it was close to the pool and it had the most beautiful views of the lake from the deck. We grilled outback, loved having the use of 2 golf carts, and enjoyed the big tv for movies at night. We will be back.

They installed beautiful new luxury flooring throughout the villa in gray weathered wood tones. In addition, to compliment the look, the entire villa had been repainted gray and new carpeting installed on the stairs. Along with new wall art, bedspreads, pillows, rugs, coasters, shower curtains, accessories, new vacuum, new paver stone courtyard plus a new back deck, everything was lovely. We feel lucky to call 5128 our home for 2 1/2 months. Terrific location on Horseshoe Lake, walking distance to pool and good golf cart. Comfortable beds. AC works like a charm. Villa is well stocked. Nicole at Platinum Vacations provided outstanding service. (One possible suggestion - replacement of the small black kitchen cabinet with a larger cabinet for added grocery storage.) Had a wonderful stay at this condo!! Loved having the courtyard area to wash off and leave floats and sandy things! For families with lots of stuff to haul to the beach, the walk to the beach can feel kind of long. You take the golf cart to the path but then it’s still a bit of a walk from there if you’re carrying kids and toys, coolers, etc. We enjoyed staying near the lake and the pool! Having the golf cart was so much fun and the wharf was great, too!! Only issues were: dishes in cabinets were dirty, a light that was out in master bathroom, problem with red golf cart that meant we couldn’t use it for the rest of our trip when the red one is the best one.
The rental company was super attentive and quick to respond! Thank you! Would definitely recommend this condo to everybody and i would love to work with this rental company again!

The owners added a nice patio set with comfortable chair cushions and an umbrella - very enjoyable as we sit outside a lot. Furniture and beds are comfortable. My experience in this villa is all positive. (Owners or Platinum might consider updating vacuum sweeper though.)

This unit was close to everything and really nice. The layout made the unit feel almost like a house and the fact that there was a fishing lake at the back door and a pool just steps away made it even better. On the gold cart we could get to the beach in less than 3 minutes and taking a tunnel to Baytown Wharf in the golf cart was a blast!! The entire resort is pet friendly (with exception to the beach of course). We couldnt have asked for a better stay!! The lady that works the after hours booking line was wonderful in describing the resort and free activities included.

This rental had everything we needed in a lovely resort. The location was near the pool and walking distance from the beach. We had access to a golf cart, which allowed us to go to the village restaurants and shops without taking the car. Best of all, it is pet friendly.

There were a couple minor plumbing issues when we arrived, which were fixed immediately upon calling the office.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa. The unit was very clean, well-maintained, comfortable, and tastefully decorated in a "Tommy Bahama" theme. The villa reflects pride of ownership.

The huge HDTV in LR is a home run. Sofa was new and comfortable; loved the big brown recliner!!! Beds were extremely comfortable and the BR's boast large closets for ample storage. All bathrooms have been updated with granite countertops/tile. Great washer/dryer. Nice patio furniture, plus a Weber grill. Villa has terrific view of the lake and it's close proximity to the pool is a bonus.

Furniture throughout the unit is beautiful and high quality. The updated kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Enjoyed maneuvering Sandestin in the golf cart; a great convenience. Sandestin is an amazingly huge resort. Access to Baytowne via the tunnel was awesome. We walked and rode bikes throughout the Sandestin property almost daily, meeting so many nice people along the way. The beach is simply the best.

Platinum provided good customer service. Check-in/check-out was a breeze. We highly recommend this villa to others and most definitely would rent it again. Honestly, we feel lucky to have scored this unit for our first "snowbird" trip to Destin area. Thank you so much.

This unit is nicely furnished and equipped. We did miss a hair dryer but they immediately bought one for us. Great service. The one thing I recommend is to take your own pans if you don't like to use scratched coated pans. Every single pan is coated and I guess some guests don't bother using plastic or silicon utensils with them.
Nice layout, the only thing somewhat bothersome is that the floors are very squeaky. Not a biggie, only if some family members get up too early.
The location from the beach is OK. We took the tram one day but decided that driving there is a better option (no wait).
The view is very nice.
The unit is pretty clean but you may see the occasional roach. It is very hard to keep out in Florida.
You can't use the resort's amenities but they have a pool a few steps from this unit. Sometimes it would be nice to use the pool at the beach though (especially for kids). You basically have to decide whether you spend time at the beach or at the pool as they are far.

We had a nice stay at 5128 Beachwalk. This condo was very accommodating. The landscaping was so beautiful and we enjoyed our visit to the beach as well. Though the unit was satisfactory, it could use some attention such as: the stove needs replacing= not all the burners work and pans do not sit on the ones that do work very well. Had some issues with the front door locking and the entrance gate needs repair. I will say that the AC works like a charm! We were very cool and comfortable. The plug outlets in master bathroom and bedroom need replacing. The floors upstairs were VERY squeaky, which could be a problem if you have guests downstairs sleeping. Overall, we were happy with location and would stay again.

This was a well maintained unit in a great location in Sandestin Resort. We loved the view across the lake, and the beautiful grounds. The unit was in excellent condition and the management company was very responsive. Highly recommend this unit if you want a great place to stay close to the beach and other resort amenities.

The location to the beach was good; I didn't mind the walk as it was difficult to find a shuttle. I will say the that the cleaning of the townhouse could have been more thorough, also the vacuum that was provided did not work on the hard floors and had a horrible odor. Overall, I would definitely recommend and would stay there again......But I would strongly suggest putting in a hot tub in the pool area. :)

This 2 bedroom condo was everything we hoped it would be and more. We had other family staying here and booked directly with the resort, they paid hundreds of dollars more and ours was a much nicer place. The pool is kept very clean and the distance to the beach is not bad at all. Overall we had a great time and would do it again.

Beautiful views from the Master bedroom and family room of the lake. Shower head broke on Saturday night but they came and fixed it first thing Monday morning. It was still useable while broken. The rental is located right next door to the community swimming pool. The only thing I could say is that some backpack type beach chairs to use would have been nice and a few more towels and wash clothes. Great clean rental and would rent again.
