This was our second extended stay at 5178 Beachwalk. It is a great location and having the golf cart makes getting around fun and convenient. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, cutlery, bowls etc. The bedrooms are very spacious and the beds are comfortable. There is a new barbecue. There were a number of issues which Platinum staff were able to address. There is now a new washer and dryer in the unit which was greatly appreciated.. For extended stay guests there are a number of changes that would improve the experience. Although the furniture in the living room is relatively new, it is VERY uncomfortable, cupboards and appliances need to be refurbished/updated. There are some lighting/electrical issues (not dangerous but inconvenient), and the Unit needs new outdoor furniture or cushions. Platinum staff were responsive and helpful. Would recommend to friends, particularly for short stay and also for extended stays if some of the upgrades are made.

So not as good as the last time we came down there. The pull out mattress from the sofa is horrible. I'm not even sure how a little kid could sleep. On that. The place smelled like smoke when the first got there.

Overall a good experience, however details were lacking based on the cost of the rental. The golf cart batteries need replaced, the two beach chairs were rusted, the pool code was not provided, no beach towels were provided, there was a massive amount of flies in the master bedroom between the curtains and window, and an outlet in the master bath was not working. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware and each bathroom had plenty of towels.

When we arrived I noticed the front door looked bad and front courtyard area to look old and had random debris such as a roll of toilet paper under bench. Floors were very dirty!!!!!! Carpet in living room was stained and old!! The main picture in the main living area looked as it it had fallen off the wall and then hung back up in a hurry and was very crooked. One of the king beds was okay but the other was very hard and uncomfortable. Washer and dryer were very old and even though stackable was micro sized.. not even close to a regular size stackable washer.! You could maybe put 2 towels to a load. The patio sets out back we’re rusted in places and had no cushions. I usually really enjoy sitting out in the patio area but this was not enjoyable due to hard iron seating and no cushion. The golf cart ran well but has something wrong with the steering or axils. This made the steering much more difficult than all of the golf carts that have come with Beachwalk rentals I have stayed in in the past. The golf cart was the main attraction for me so it was quite a disappointment. We have stayed in Beachwalk villas many times before and found this to be the worst experience yet.

Our stay at 5178 was amazing. The location was perfect with a view of the lake and easy access to the pool. The golf cart was a lot of fun and allowed us to keep the car parked the entire trip. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The property management folks were very friendly and quick to respond. The restaurant next to the beach was excellent. I highly recommend it.

Our stay at 5178 was amazing. The location was perfect with a view of the lake and easy access to the pool. The golf cart was a lot of fun and allowed us to keep the car parked the entire trip. We had a wonderful time at the beach and staying within the Sandestin Resort. We come 2-3 times a year and always enjoy working with the staff at Platinum Vacations. Nicole and the other team members are so helpful and friendly. We love having a golf cart and use it extensively to travel around the resort and to the restaurants on Grand Boulevard.

The unit was very comfortable and homey and larger than it looked with lots of storage. The newer furniture was nice. The location was nice, being on the beach side of the resort. We enjoyed the golf cart as well. We did have an issue with water leaking up and downstairs. The buildings are older and do need the windows replaced badly. The property management comp came out right away to check on everything. I would suggest having some beach towels and a few beach chairs/umbrella so you don't have to bring those items. Overall, it was a nice stay.

The property was cute and most importantly clean! Great location and the golf cart made everything so much more fun! Townhouse was well stocked and the washer & dryer was so handy. The only negative thing I can say is the parking spots are not assigned so a few times we had no where to park our golf cart close to our townhouse where it could be charged. My 3 year old was literally in tears when we departed so we are hoping we can return again soon.

Very nice condo. Tastefully decorated and neat. 2 large bedrooms upstairs. Plenty of room downstairs as well. Had a maintenance issue the minute we checked in and they had it fixed a few hours later. Golf cart was in great shape and made getting to the pool/beach a lot easier. Definitely recommend! I would not hesitate to stay here again!
