We enjoyed our stay and this rental home was beautiful!! It was very clean and everything was as described. The only thing I was unsatisfied with is that I was not given all of the information I would need prior to arrival. I was not given the garage code or the pool code. I had to take time to call and find out but they answered quickly and were very friendly and helpful. Also, the unit had a total of 3 bath rags and there were 6 of us but the property would actually sleep 9 so at least 9 should have been in there. I told the man that came and was letting me know the oven would actually not be installed during our stay because of an unforeseen problem and he said he would have someone bring some more but they never showed up. Other than this, everything was really nice. We normally stay at Beachside 2 but branched out this year. We enjoyed having a golf cart too! It was fun and we will be back.

Our family gathered for a week and truly enjoyed our time together. The beds were super comfortable. The condo was very nice, although the chair needs to be replaced, and one of the light switches was broken. These were minor things and as rental owners ourselves, we understand the wear and tear. We loved the location and tranquility. I would absolutely rent this unit again

This place was so beautiful and the long term tenants were very nice. You’re near everything you need. The beach, outlet malls, grocery shopping and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this unit for families. The way the bedrooms are setup with their own bathrooms work out perfectly.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. There were roaches in the bathroom sinks, spiders, and some ants in the kitchen. I suggest a pest control extermination. Also, the chair in the living room should be reupholstered, slipcovered, or cleaned thoroughly.

The condo spacious and open. Eventhough it is a terrace level unit, it gets a TON of natural light. We loved having morning coffee on the veranda while watching the golfers tee. The golf cart was great to get to the beach and wharf. We would definitely book again.

We always come to Sandestin for every break we have. This time we decided not to stay in places tha would be more crowed due to the coronavirus situation. So we decided for the Pine Ridge unit that also comes with golf cart.
And oh boy! It was the perfect option for us! The unit was spacious, clean and provided all things you need to cook a meal. The view from the golf course was so calm and nice. We were steps away from the beach but only went once because we wanted to stay far from the crowds.
The pool was so private. Not too many people and nice for our kids.
Our family would like to thank Nicole from Platinum again, to help us through the reservations. Secondtime booking through Platinum and with Nicole. It always easy and quick.

The golf cart made getting to the beach very easy, and we also used it for going to dinner in Baytowne and for groceries. Our family of six had plenty of room, and we enjoyed the community pool next to this unit. We had a great family vacation at this property, but the unit is in need of some maintenance and a good deep cleaning.

The layout is spacious and it is nice for each bedroom to have a bathroom. the unit could do with some updating, the furniture is tired and stained and has been so for a few years. The decor is darker and heavier than I would expect for a beach house and could be improved. The beds are comfortable and big. The garage had some bach items available which is helpful. The ice maker struggles to keep up and is very noisy and the dryer takes 2-3 cycles to dry others but it is wonderful to have a washer and dryer available. Overall it was a good stay.

If we had known you needed a shower curtain, we would have immediatly brought a new one too you. We have these on stock and our housekeepers would have changed this out in about 5 minutes. We were all pleased with this rental! It was roomy, beautiful, convenient, and gorgeous views. There were 8 adults and never felt like we were crowded. We could go into our bedrooms and get away when needed, but that didn't happen often.

Being on the ground level and watching the golfers pass by, while drinking your morning coffee, was so relaxing. In being on the lower level, you did have to go down steps, to the entry. Not a problem, but you may want to factor this in, in bringing an elderly person along. It was right next to the pool, which was very convenient. It had EVERYTHING one would need! My husband and I were very sad, when we had to leave, our "home" for our real home. We had the Platinum App on our phone, and all the info. we needed, was at your finger tips, and very easy to use. (the entry codes, WIFI passwords, etc.)WONDERFUL people to work with, WONDERFUL place to stay. This rental will once again become our "home" next March!

My husband and I were very sad, when we had to leave, our "home" for our real home. We had the Platinum App on our phone, and all the info. we needed, was at your finger tips, and very easy to use. (the entry codes, WIFI passwords, etc.)WONDERFUL people to work with, WONDERFUL place to stay. This rental will once again become our "home" next March!

This was our 6th year renting in San Destin, staying at Pine Ridge 4 of them. This was my all-time FAVORITE rental unit! Being on the ground level and watching the golfers pass by, while drinking your morning coffee, was so relaxing. In being on the lower level, you did have to go down steps, to the entry. Not a problem, but you may want to factor this in, in bringing an elderly person along. It was right next to the pool, which was very convenient. It had EVERYTHING one would need! We enjoyed our time at 5382 Pine Ridge. There are a few things I would have to relate to the owners. The furniture is very old and uncomfortable, the window treatments were old and some were tied together to function, the appliances in the kitchen were dated and the the washer and dryer were very noisy. On the positive the view out off of the balcony was beautiful, the master bath was roomy and very up to date, the bedding was very comfortable, and the TV access was great.
When we had a problem such as the floors and carpet needed to be cleaned when we arrived, and a smoke alarm was tweeting; one call to Elizabeth and both were taken care of very quickly. We really appreciated the rapid response. Thanks, Elizabeth.

The condo was clean and nicely appointed (nicer than the condos that other family members stayed at in the Miramar Beach area). We've taken off one star because this was a lower level unit so access was via a stairway down from the driveway. This made carrying luggage more of a chore, and the tile steps are somewhat slippery when it rains. This was a concern because we had small children with us. Overall, it was very nice and access to the Sandestin beach was very easy. We would recommend this condo.

In our opinion, not the best place to stay. We had to supply a few of the small items that we thought should have been included for the price. We were given one trash bag for the week, no dish soap for the dishes or to wash our hands in the bathroom and no dishwasher soap. Therefore, we had to go purchase those items which was an added cost to our vacation. The toilet was broke and it took 2 calls before someone came out and it still didn't get fixed. We just didn't worry about it because we were on vacation and didn't want to wait around for maintenance to show up. It took 2 hours the first time they came. One of the doors out the bedroom to the patio wouldn't open and we asked that to be fixed as well, but our request fell on deaf ears. The master bedroom had one working light bulb. We requested light bulbs, but never received them. One of the "queen beds" were 2 smaller beds pushed together. This is a misrepresentation and a problem when you need 3 kids to sleep in this bed. So, one of our kids took turns sleeping on the couch during the week because you can't sleep in the middle of two beds being pushed together. The beach was a 15-20 minute walk. When I contacted the resort, they said 5 minutes to the beach. What they should have said is that it was a 5 minute walk to catch a shuttle that took you to a drop off spot to walk 5 minutes to the beach. I only mention this because I think people need to be aware of this fact. We enjoy walking to the beach. That's what we come to Destin for but you can't walk 20 minutes to the beach with all your stuff. We were just pretty disappointed with this resort because it didn't meet the same expectations as we've experienced in the past. Others may enjoy it, it just wasn't for us.

Manager's Response

We are sorry that your experience at the resort was less than you desired. I would like to address the information concerning supplies of the unit. In our rental contract that all guest must sign it clearly states what we supply to the unit. Please visit this link to reread the companies policies concerning Housekeeping Supplies
Also, we do have an maintenance department that can handle most situations quickly. From time to time we have to contract outside vendors to take care of certain maintenance issues that are not covered by our department. As most know, from repairmen at their own homes, this can sometimes take a few days. Especially in our area during our PEAK summer season. These units do require repairs occasionally during a guest stay and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Lastly, this unit did come with the free shuttle service that will drop guest off directly at the beach. We let guest know through our app that the shuttle drops off and picks up at the entrance to the neighborhood. It runs every 20 to 30 minutes. We tell all of our guest this is the best form of transportation in July at the resort. This does make things much easier to take your typical beach gear out to the beach.
Again, it sounds as though the accommodations you were needing to fulfill your vacation would have been a hotel room directly on the beach. Perhaps that is the better option for your family.

Our recent week-long stay at 5382 Pine Ridge in Sandestin was a great experience for our family. Our daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren came to visit for several days and everyone had a wonderful time. One great feature of the rental was the layout of the unit. Everyone had plenty of space to get together, or to have some private time if needed. 3 bedrooms and 3 baths were perfect for our group. We would certainly recommend this unit for a family getaway.

My husband and I stayed at 5382 Pine Ridge for a week in December. My son and his family came to visit and stayed for one night. The pictures really don't do this place justice. It is much more open and spacious than it appears, and the furniture is very comfortable. The patio area with the view of the golf course was probably our favorite spot. Two things to keep in mind - this villa is on the lower level and there is a flight of steep stairs to get down to the front door. It didn't bother us, but an older person might have trouble. Also, the road noise from Hwy. 98 on the patio was louder than I expected. The villa is right next door to the neighborhood pool. I understand that it is sometimes heated in the colder months, but the heat was not on when we were there. There is a garage which was awesome. There was enough room in there for one car and our bikes. There is no direct entrance from the garage to the villa. Overall, this was a great spot for a vacation. We stay in Sandestin every year, and will certainly consider staying at this villa again.

The property was beautiful!! The condo was so nice, very spacious, everything we needed was there and beds were very comfy!! The view from the balcony was lovely and the pool was right outside our door, a few feet away!! The beach was not far away and the shuttle was great!I would definitely stay here again!!

This place was more than we expected! Great set up in rooms! worked great for our 8 person family and the price was great! Right next to a pool! Never heard people swimming but made it easy to walk and take a dip. All Furniture was in great shape and worked well with our family. It could use a new out door grill but the one we used worked.

This 3BR condo was awesome. It was convenient to a private beach, basketball court, and putt putt golf course. Each of the bedrooms had a nice bed and a comfortable mattress. The floors had beautiful tile and the kitchen was really nice

Looked at several rentals online, Platinum Services had a nice selection, called on a Sunday one week before spring break, got a recording saying they were closed and would open the next day. Actually received a call two hours later, rep was not in the office but she was able to answer my questions and even called in to put a hold on the unit we wanted. Platinum promptly sent all relevant information, confirmed reservation and even called my cell the day we driving in to let us know traffic was bad and to make sure we had after hour information to access the rental home. Very professional.
The unit was as described. Clean, spacious and well appointed. It has a view of golf course and a nice patio. It is away from the beach but Platinum recommended a bike rental company, Bikes R us, who also impressed us. They made arrangements for the bikes to be there upon arrival and promptly replaced one that had a chain issue. Overall great experience. Would recommend Platinum and this particular unit.
