Fun week at the beach

"Our place was clean and well stocked. There we as plenty of seating at the table and living room for all of us and other family staying at Beschside 1. It was FANTASTIC to have a full size cleaning washing machine and dryer vs those small stackable that don’t clean. The beds were comfortable, too. Refrigerator did a good job of chilling. Only thing we didn’t like was the cooktop. We couldn’t work it! We could get the electronics to turn on but as soon as the eye was hot and started cooking it would turn off! Searched online, but couldn’t find the proper procedure .

"Everything about this stay- location, views, amenities, beach access, and pool was superb. We loved how San Destin is between the best parts of 30A and the area around the Harborwalk. The unit has a large porch area that soaks up the sun with majestic views of the emerald waters of Miramar Beach. The shower is SPA in of itself with powerful SPA jets that spray away the sand and sunscreen clean off!

"The view was amazing! We loved the extended roof top balcony. The room you can tell needed some TLC but it was still a great vacation. The rug in 2nd bedroom and living room shedded which was annoying when it got all over your clothes but the washer and dryer worked great. The pool was great. Never too crowded. The beach access was easy. My husband for got his pool band twice ( in my bag waiting on me to come down) and got snapped at by property personnel. I get why they need the bands but the way you tell someone makes a difference. Overall wish we could have stayed longer!

"We had a wonderful time in this condo with my adult children. The deck was wonderful! Highly recommend. The pool area was beautiful.
There were just minor things like burnt out light bulbs and leaky shower door. But the place was very clean.

"We enjoyed our stay at Beachside One and the view was fabulous. However, the condition of the condo was not impressive and was not reflective of the pictures shown on the website. Rugs and drapes were torn and badly frayed, the master shower leaked terribly and cabinet doors were not attached. The Management Company understood our concerns and was helpful to deal with. We have stayed at Beachside One and Two many times and this condo was the least impressive of all. The property has been neglected. We would not stay at this property again. But we will continue to deal with Platinum Vacations.

"This rental has the most amazing views! We truly enjoyed our stay. The only downfall were the area rugs that were in the living room and bedrooms. They are horrible! Whatever they are made of gets all over the place. We had to buy lint rollers and the stuff was still all over us. A string of it also ended up in my son's eye.

"We stayed 4 months and were very happy with the unit and the interaction we had with the staff at Platinum, especially with Nicole and Aaron. The only issue we saw with it was the rug in the living room and master bedroom. They are unraveling and need to be replaced. We showed it to Crystal, and she agreed. This was our 3rd year renting and have already committed to next year. We have referred several friends to Platinum, and they have been pleased with the service.

"What a gorgeous condo! The renovation was so well done... no expense was spared. The terrace is the best... enjoyed it on a cloudy day when running inside when it rained was so easy. "This condo was perfect for my family of 4 with 2 young kids! The views were amazing!! Only complaint was maintenance being done on the pool the first day that we were there. It seems like they were just changing out a few tiles which I don’t understand why that could not have waited until November or December. And this was a very minor inconvenience but will not hinder me from staying here again!!

"We enjoyed staying at 4133 BS1. We loved the location and the room however, I would only give 4 out of 5 stars due to the cleanliness of the room. The room was relatively dirty when we arrived. There were a few dishes with something (sauce?) on them, the freezer needed defrosted, etc. It was all random and small things that could have been easily missed by housekeeping. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay and especially the large balcony! We traveled with a 4 month old and I was thankful she wasn't crawling or walking yet because the rug would be terrible on her knees and feet as the fibers stuck to our clothes when we sat on the floor with her. Overall, we would recommend this rental and stay here again.

"Our overall experience was acceptable. I recommend having a plumber reset the kitchen faucet as it's operational, but not secured to the counter properly. Also, the food waste disposal isn't in good working condition and the kitchen drain is very slow which would indicate some type of clean-out is needed. The deck furniture has some issues. The table is damaged. One of the chairs immediately outside the sliding glass door was missing its seat back cushion. Aside from those observations, the space was as advertised. We enjoyed our stay overall. Late summer, early fall is a nice time to visit the area.

"This is a nice 2 bed, 2 bath unit with great space and views and the unit was clean when we arrived. We were however disappointed with the way the kitchen was furnished. There was a serious lack of kitchen utensils and cookware and we had to buy coffee mugs, wine glasses, martini glasses, coffee filters and a wine corkscrew.

"Great location. The rooftop patio is great and provides great views of the beach and bay. We could not use the lounge chairs that were pictured because they were behind a wall by the air conditioner units. The interior is beautiful but there are some issues that need to be fixed ASAP. The microwave felt like it was on the verge of falling any time it was touched. We were scared to let the kids near it. When we first entered the condo, the guest toilet was steadily running. We called maintenance and they quickly arrived to "fix" the issue. Really all they did was hook a paper clip on the toilet chain. Needless to say, that did not fix the issue. We called maintenance again and they did not come until the next so the first day and night we had to reach inside the toilet just to flush it. Eventually they fixed it correctly. On our final night we tried to wash dishes so we could leave early in the morning. Unfortunately, running the sink and dishwasher at the same time causes the drain line to disconnect and get water all over the kitchen. No guest should have to spend their vacation mopping a condo kitchen because of poor plumbing. With that being said, I'd stay there again if those issues get resolved.

We had know way of knowing the dishwasher would back up and certainly we hate you had to mop the floor. "This condo is beautiful and we enjoyed the views immensely. The outside patio was lovely and extends the square footage to provide outdoor living. It would be lovely if there was more comfortable seating out there to enjoy. The kitchen and other rooms were well stocked but the condo was not very clean. I had to dust the furniture and my sister in law had to clean her bathroom due to it being very dirty. Also, the stovetop burners were not working when we tried to cook. The staff was very helpful and responsive whenever we had a question or issue. We would stay here again if all the issues were resolved because of the beautiful views and beautiful decor.

"At first, it all looked marvelous: location is superb, very clean, view from the balcony is breathtaking, furniture is high-grade, outdoor recreational activities are close to the building.
We arrived 4 hours earlier than the check in time, but they allowed us to enter, special thanks for this, considering that we had 2 kids with us. However, every day at least one cockroach would be detected in the property and at the balcony, especially at night. This was quite disturbing and the only negative impression left in our vacation.

"Our third year on lucky 13. Owner and agency very attentive to any current concerns and have addressed some past ones. The condo consists of top quality decor but is starting to show some wear and tear. In the past, these concerns have always been addressed. We look forward to our next year's stay. We always plan on coming back to our "other home".

"Overall it was great! There were a few maintenance issues that came up but nothing that kept us from enjoying our vacation (water came in after rain on floor behind TV, dripping leak in roof on patio, hall bath toilet continued running after flushing, seal on front door wasn't great so north wind created howling sound, stove top took a while to heat up and seemed to only work on 7 or higher). Condo was very well decorated and comfortable! The patio furniture was comfortable as well - something we specifically looked for since it was cooler in November and we were traveling with an infant. Would have liked to have cushions on lounge chairs as well. Location was good - close to shops and restaurants in Sandestin area. Highly recommend going to Sunset Bay Cafe in Sandestin for their southern boy Benedict if you like eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy! Perfect combination!

Be careful

"Began week with beautiful condo but beware of sliding glass doors with no handles or locks and windows that you can NOT lock. Needs to be secured. Had 3 adults show up trying to get into condo. Had to make security and police report. Left early. NOT SAFE until locks are workable and installed. Beware that anyone can enter building from beach.Only rent after it passes building and security code!

How disappointing to read such an incriminating review from this guest, especially when the guest stayed in July, and here it is October! At no time is it mentioned that the staff at Platinum Services attempted to assist in resolving any issues. From the beginning of this family's stay, there was stress with one of the family members needing medical attention. Platinum Services was made aware of the guest's fear of being "stalked" from this condo -- on the 13th floor -- two days before their departure day. From time to time, there are repair companies that are called for service; in this case, the three "adults" who showed up at the front door and allegedly forced entry into the condo had the wrong address. Platinum Services was not given the opportunity to attempt to help the situation by at least temporarily securing the patio doors, which would have been done by our maintenance staff immediately. The guest decided to leave a day early and demanded a refund; at that time, a refund was in fact our intention and given because we were truly sorry that this incident created a less-than-wonderful vacation. With unsuccessful attempts to reach the guest by phone, the property manager sent an email apologizing once again for the guest's inconvenience and informing her that the doors were to be repaired right away. The following was the guest's response to that email: "Thank you for getting back to me and I apologize for missing the message on my voicemail. I believe the $425.60 is a fair refund and would like to have a receipt of this transaction on our bankcard. Do you need the bank card number? I appreciate you handling the problems with the condo and certainly hope that the needed repairs and fixes have been completed before renting it out again. Other than no way to secure and lock the condo we loved the space, layout and decor. Thanks for helping to resolve the issues."

Perfect Vacation Experience

"We spent a week in this beautiful condo and our experience was amazing. The views of the beach from the 13th floor balcony and huge sundeck are awesome. We enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch on the sun deck which featured a six person table and chaise lounges. The private beach was only steps from the condo and was not crowded at all. The sand was sugar white and the water was crystal clear. I would definitely stay in this condo again. Our vacation experience was perfect!

"We had a great stay at Beachside one 4133. i would suggest adding a couch or more cushioned chairs on the patio. shower had problems with leaking water that we didn't get fixed until day before we left. I could have reported it earlier, but it should have been fixed before we got there.

Platinum Services agrees with the guest -- everything should be in as perfect working order as possible in each and every property we manage. Had we been aware of the shower that had leaking water, it would have been fixed before the guest arrived. We welcome constructive criticism from our guests so that we can maintain our properties in great working order. Because the guest did report the issue, we now also have a perfect working shower.

"We always stay in Beachside 1-- unit 4133! Great view! Very upscale! Huge desk ! We have stayed in it numerous times and we always request it! We go through Platinum Services of Destin. I always speak with Grace Mangum and she excellent! She is awesome! Would think of no where else too stay!

"The folks at Platinum Services of Destin couldn't have been any nicer or more professional. We really enjoyed our vacation and the unit was beautiful. My only complaints would be with some of the craftsmanship in the kitchen. When you would open the dishwasher and pull out the bottom drawer, it wanted to roll right out on to the floor. The microwave was poorly "set" into the cabinet area under the kitchen countertop. There were no hotpads and one dish towel and one kitchen wash cloth were not sufficient. Other than those minor things, the unit was well equipped and beautifully decorated.

"Can't say enough about how great this property was. Everyone at Platinum Services of Destin was great. They are so professional and accommodating. Grace was so helpful. I will use them from now on when booking a property. I will most definitely stay at this one again.

Great location, well decorated

"The condo location and decor was outstanding and just want my family needed for spring break. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was well appointed, and our service calls were quickly responded to. the sundeck is a fantastic view and perfect for the mornings --- although it can get very windy in the afternoon/evening.
two items to call out -- that did not make our stay perfect. 1 - found a unknown t-shirt under one of the dressers; and 2 - the overhead lights would turn on and off occasionally without anyone touching the light switch.
