"Was very welcoming, so beautiful and open, having the beach right out our back door was so beautiful! Having access to the beach within 5 minutes was nice, and pool was very nice as well! We had a day seeing dolphins off the patio in yhe ocean as well! The comfort of home away from home, it is definitely a place we would stay at again!!

"We enjoyed the view of the beach and being able to walk back and forth to the beach easily. We rented chairs which made the beach logistics even easier. Quick walk to the beachside restaurant. Condo provided a resort tram pass. Not every condo does so a huge perk for us.

"We stepped in to relaxing music being played and the place smelling so fresh and fragrant. This unit was very clean and perfect for our stay. We loved the big balcony which is where we sat to eat our breakfast. It was fabulous seeing the beach from the moment we opened our eyes till we went to sleep.
Sandestin makes everything very convenient from parking the car to riding the tram to getting drinks at the Beach House. I would definitely rent this unit again if it’s just 2. I could make 4 work but it was perfect for 2.
Our only Suggestions - add hooks in the bathroom on the wall and in the shower for towels/wet suits and add easier access to outlets / USB for charging devices in the night stands.

"My Husband and I stayed here for 8 days and don't have one complaint as far as the unit goes. It was very clean and just enough space for the two of us. The view from the balcony was great. The only complaint I really had for the whole trip was you better be ready to set your chairs up at 6:30 am or bring a whole lot of cash to rent beach chairs. By 9am the whole beach is covered with rental chairs basically forcing you to purchase chairs. $80 a day

"I was not informed the building is in major renovations and has been for a long time with slow progress.The refridge hummed loudly which is very annoying trying to sleep. The refridge has mold all down the sides and the shower is very old and dirty. The pool was broken and could not be used the first two days there. The layout is cute but way overpriced for how old the place is.

"Unit is comfortable and is at a beautiful location on the Gulf. Convent to beach and bool. In unit washer and dryer was much appreciated as was the well appointed kitchen. Parking was plentiful and close. Elevator was not always reliable. Although there is more than one elevator, only the main elevator is accessible with no steps. Unit is awkwardly layer out for watching tv if weather is poor. Shower in aged and would benefit from replacement. Balcony has beautiful views and was much enjoyed,

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this condo. The location is very convenient to amenities, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The balcony had a nice view of the ocean as well. The unit could definitely use some touch ups—there are areas where the walls could be touched up with paint, some paint is peeling from cabinets and doors, and it’s just clearly an older unit but it does have updated decor. The linens and bathroom were clean and that’s the most important part to me personally. Having a washer and dryer was also definitely a plus! It did feel safe due to the guard shack upon entry into the resort along with the gated entry into the parking area. Overall, I think it was a good experience for the price.

"It was awesome! We have stayed at Beachside II for 2 years in a row now. You get all the info. you need before you arrive so there is no having to sign in at a front desk. We feel very well protected with the gates and security. We love the garage, keeps you out of the direct sun when loading and unloading. Overall, just a wonderful clean place to stay!

"This rental had a perfect beach view. The room was on the end, so we had additional west windows. The patio was covered from the sun morning and evening. Condo was clean and had a new washer/dryer. I would have loved to have had a plush mattress, as the one there was a little firm and not as comfortable as we prefer. We would rent this again.

Nice condo with room to improve

"My review of this property has both pros and cons. I'll start with all the great things about this unit. First, it has plenty of room for 2 or 3 people even if it is a studio. The room is nicely furnished and has all the amenities you'd have at home in the kitchen. The unit was clean but needed some deeper cleaning as there were spider webs built up in the corners of the kitchen window and despite the VRBO description stating that a fresh air filter will be changed after each guest, this was not the case. The air filter had not been changed in at least 6 months or more. After a call to management, they replaced it and left an additional filter. This was a big issue for me since COVID is rampant and I have bad allergies. I had even emailed management prior to our arrival to ensure the filter would be changed per the description on VRBO. I was assured it would be changed after each guest. That didn't happen.

The balcony has a lovely view of the beach and it is covered. We enjoyed it very much. The unit is positioned so that you can see the view even from inside. Big plus.

One major item that needs to be updated is the bed. It is old and cheap. Uncomfortable is putting it mildly. I could tell that the unit had been recently updated with new furniture and paint so why not provide your guests with a comfortable place to sleep? Because all the linens and bed skirt had been removed due to COVID precautions, I could clearly see stains all over the box springs and strings were hanging from the sides towards the floor. This is disgusting to me. This facility is a very nice place and I would expect much better. If I had the option to to attach pictures to this review I would.

In summary, if you don't mind an old, uncomfortable mattress and the air filter doesn't bother you, then you should be okay. The view is awesome. If the owner replaced the bed, I would definitely go back.

"Perfect accommodations for a romantic getaway for 2 or a family with 1-2 small children. The view from the balcony...amazing! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony early mornings and at night, taking in the ocean breeze. The unit was decorated in a inviting beach theme. We didn't cook, but the kitchen was well stocked with essentials.

"This place was a dump. It needed a tremendous scrubbing and washing. Bedspread and pillows must be 20 years old. NOWHERE clean to sit. Roach was running in kitchen. Filthy. Nowhere, in bathroom, to put wet towels or toiletries.

Very disappointed-almost a joke

"I stayed at Beach Side II last year in a different condo with different management and owner. That stay was far better than this one. I have never left a review in my life but plan to find every site I can to write this one and expose this place.
Disappointments:
Plates, glasses, silverware, pots and pans were dirty or rusty. Washer broke during stay
Dryer broke during stay
The last day we noticed what we thought were bed bugs although not confirmed.
Rugs and furniture were old and dated. Seemed almost dirty.
Interior desperately needs updating
When you pay almost $400 a night you expect cleanliness and working appliances. There were a few small things that were also inconveniences but those were the most disturbing and disappointing.

Unfortunately, there was an issue with the washer and dryer. However, this guest fails to mention that the issue was immediately addressed and resolved. An accusation of bed bugs is extremely harsh. There are no bed bugs in this unit and never has been. The furnishings are exactly as they appear in the photos online for they were taken directly from the condo. The other items mentioned in this review are simply not the case and were never mentioned until now. For future renters, we ask that you take a look at the many positive reviews that have been left by previous renters.

"Property was photographed accurately. Email communication was easy. Bracelets and shuttle card were easy to find. It was clean and is in a good location. It had plenty towels and also kitchen gear like a blender, toaster, microwave, pots and pans and there is a dishwasher. Also washer and dryer are in a closet. Good amount of closet spaces and one medium size dresser. Didn't try the pull out couch. There are a few signs of wear and tear on the floors. Blinds didn't open easily and displayed signs of wear and tear overhead. The mattress is older and has a sensation and sound of springs moving if you were to sit down or lay down firmly. The bed was probably the worst part of the unit, though decorated nicely. Beachside two has entrances to the units that are "outside" like many motels or other beach properties though with a roof cover obviously. The views was exactly as depicted in the photograph. The pool area is nothing to write home about but has chairs, coke machines, and a small pergola type area providing some shade. Overall, a favorable stay.

Often times the insurance company has questions about your cancellation. Please double check your email to see if they have reached out to you and are waiting on a response? We completely sympathize with you that you were unable to visit however; the rating that was given is somewhat tainted since the guest cancelled the reservation and never stayed in the unit. This unfortunate situation should not cause any harm for this owner and its rating. This is a very lovely condo on the beach and many have enjoyed their vacation at this property. We have had a very good relationship with CSA Travel with previous claims. I am sure once they have all the documentation they requested, then the claim will be completed. "Half the outlets were not working, the dryer was broken, hole in bathroom ceiling, funky smell upon arrival, elevator stopped working while we were there, overpriced big time for what you get. I only rented this condo because my first choice was booked by someone else. Would not stay here again and do not recommend this resort to anyone else.

"Great experience at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Room had all the necessities for an easy, relaxing trip. Great location and amenities at the resort. Condo was slightly aged, but well-kept. Only problem we found was some of the power outlets did not work....not a huge issue but needs to be checked. Otherwise, great weekend getaway. Extremely easy check-in/check-out.

"The beach is absolutely beautiful. The condo we rented had a perfect view of the beach. Just a few concerns with the condo. The place was really not cleaned 100 percent. There was a large dead cockroach under the bed along with some food crumbs. There was also no baking sheet available in the kitchen to use. Other than that it was a good stay. I think they need a better cleaning company. The condo was also a little old so there was nasty stains on the ceiling and lots of holes in the wall. It could probably do with a good clean up. The gym was not much to write home about - no free weights or other weight machines, just a treadmill, bike and elliptical machine.

"This is my first time renting from Platinum Vacations and it won't be my last! I absolutely loved how attentive the staff was. The phone app was awesome and it allowed me to be able to navigate everything I needed while staying at Beachside II.

The condo was perfect for my family of three, and the pictures of the condo are exactly how it looked when we arrived. I would definitely stay here again. The newly updated shower was great (the water pressure and the size of the shower) A couple of downfalls were: the was a little too soft for me and their was also a little of mold on the bathroom ceiling.

We went during the fourth of July and enjoyed the free shuttle to The Village of Baytowne Wharf to watch the fireworks. The Village of Baytowne has lots of nice restaurants and activities for kids. My son was able to zip line, bungee jump, and rock climb while there. I will definitely stay here again, and my sister is looking to rent this unit in the near future.

"Platinum Vacations website said construction was Sept 2014 thru April 2015, but this is June 2015. Wasn't thinking we would have up close and personal construction workers everywhere. Heard a drill running at 7:40am Tues. June 2. It stopped because someone probably complained. Also Tues morning around 10am, the emergency alarms we were exiting our unit, we heard "false" over intercom. We had to place a maintenance call for our A/C on Tues. He came quickly and replaced the batteries. But said we'd probably have to have a tech come in. Mattress needs replacing. Baseboards and behind doors look "dirty" and "chipped". I never felt comfortable that furniture was clean enough to sit on, but it was okay for my husband. Slow elevators. We took stairs when possible. The most outrageous was that at 9:30am on our departure date, 2 maids used "our" code and walked right into our condo. No courtesy knock. Just said, "He said yall would probably be gone by now." Then one of them asked if she could use "our" dryer in the unit. I was so shocked, I actually moved my belongings out of HER way!! Check out was at 10am. While we finished packing,they stood outside our door waiting for us to leave. Would not return here nor use Platinum when there are so many other properties and rental companies that want our business. I asked to be compensated for what amounted to a severe privacy breach....we could have been in our underwear or doing whatever couples do on the last morning of vacation...was told "sorry". I know that if we had not vacated the unit by 10:30, 30 min on the other end....we would have been charged another night's Platinum gets compensated!

"We enjoyed the view and location of condo. Very clean. I loved that there were beach chair available that helped out a lot. I do recommend that there be a large mirror in the dining area to help with 4 girls getting ready at the same time.

"I surprised my wife with a weekend escape for Valentine's Day and wanted something romantic and with a beautiful view. This Studio Style condo was perfect. It was very clean, beautifully decorated and the view was perfect to wake up to every morning as we lay in bed and looked out over the ocean. Highly recommend!

"Great room. Spacious, nice view and convinent to everything in Destin and surounding area. Have stayed in Beachside 1 and Beachside 2 for years. Would go any where else. Not many pet friendly rooms left anymore and that is a must for us. They have always come through.

A Truly Nice Accomodation

"Unit 4236 Beachside Two was an ideal unit for our needs...home for a week of relaxation, pool, beach, and great food. This fourth floor unit provided easy access to the beach and to the pool as well as a lovely view of a nice section of the beach. We parked the car and rode the Tram to Village of Baytowne Wharf, or walked to Sandestin Hilton Barefoot Bar and Grille or the Elephant Walk Restaurant next door several evenings, Wifi. Pros: Great shower (no tub), lots of sunshine from three sides, nice balcony, spacious room. Cons: Lack of adequate drawer space for clothes, lack of additional mirror in living space. We would definitely return to this unit in the future. We were very pleased.
